I ran across IO-Data’s AVeL LinkPlayer2. It’s very similar to the Buffalo Linkstation but it is out right now and lacks the 802.11G functionality. Since my set-up has wired ethernet at the television I will probably opt for this one instead of the Buffalo unit.
Here’s another media player based on the same chipset as the Buffalo at about $100 cheaper… You can purchase it today too!
